His journey is particularly interesting because he developed songwriting and music-production experience before his official debut. This article explores his age, birthday, background, career, and the details fans most often want to know.
1. How Old Is Martin Cortis in 2026?
The answer to how old is Martin Cortis is straightforward: Martin is 18 years old in 2026. His publicly listed date of birth is March 20, 2008, which means he turned 18 on March 20, 2026. His birthday and leadership role are also listed on the official CORTIS community page on Weverse. His age helps explain why fans are interested in his journey, especially given his involvement in music-making at a young age. However, age is only one part of his story. Martin has also become known for his creative interests, his role within CORTIS, and the way the group combines music, performance, and visual ideas.
2. Martin Cortis’ Birthday and Date of Birth
Martin’s birthday is March 20, and his listed birth year is 2008. That date places him among the younger generation of K-pop performers who entered the music industry during their teenage years. Fans often celebrate the occasion through birthday messages, fan projects, and social media posts. In March 2026, his birthday marked his transition to age 18. When checking an idol’s birthday, it is useful to distinguish the actual birth date from the age displayed on older profile pages. Those pages may not be updated every year. For an accurate answer, the simplest method is to use the birth date and calculate the person’s completed years of age as of the current date.
3. Who Is Martin from CORTIS?
Martin is a South Korean-Canadian singer, songwriter, and music creator who performs as a member and leader of CORTIS. The group is associated with BIGHIT MUSIC, the entertainment company known for developing K-pop artists and groups. Martin’s public identity is closely connected to his work with CORTIS, where he participates in performances and creative activities. Fans are particularly interested in him because he combines the responsibilities of a group leader with an interest in music production. Although online profiles publish additional biographical details, not every personal claim has equal verification. The strongest starting points for understanding Martin are the group’s official channels, released music, performance content, and publicly available credits.
4. Martin Cortis’ Quick Biography and Profile
For readers looking for a quick overview, Martin’s central profile details are relatively easy to summarize. He is known professionally as Martin, belongs to CORTIS, and serves as the group’s leader. His birth date is listed as March 20, 2008, making him 18 in October 2026. He is widely described in music profiles as Korean-Canadian, while his career is associated with BIGHIT MUSIC in South Korea. His creative interests include singing, songwriting, and music production. Other details, such as exact height and the full form of his legal name, can vary across fan-maintained websites. For reliable biographical writing, it is best to prioritize his listed birthday, official group membership, leadership role, and documented musical activities.
5. Where Was Martin Cortis Born?
Several online profiles identify Martin’s birthplace as Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. These details are commonly repeated in fan-maintained artist databases, although the group’s official public profile focuses more directly on his role and birthday than on a complete personal biography. Martin is also widely described as Korean-Canadian, reflecting his connection to Korean and Canadian backgrounds. Fans sometimes seek additional details about where he grew up, his childhood experiences, and the places where he lived before becoming a performer. However, personal accounts can differ in their level of reliability. It is better to separate widely reported background information from details confirmed through official statements or interviews rather than treat every profile entry as definitive.
6. Martin Cortis’ Nationality and Cultural Background
Martin is commonly described as Korean-Canadian, a background that contributes to fans’ interest in his identity and international appeal. K-pop attracts audiences across countries and languages, and artists with connections to different cultural environments can often relate to a broad range of listeners. Martin’s background is discussed in fan profiles and music coverage, although specific details about his family should be treated carefully unless confirmed by a dependable source. Nationality, ethnicity, birthplace, and the country where someone grew up are related but distinct concepts. They should not be used interchangeably. In Martin’s case, the Korean-Canadian description is widely reported, while more detailed claims about his family history should be verified before being presented as established facts.
7. How Did Martin Become a Member of CORTIS?
Martin’s public music career developed before CORTIS introduced itself to audiences in 2025. He was associated with BIGHIT MUSIC before the group’s debut, and his creative experience helped establish him as a performer with interests beyond singing and dancing. K-pop artists often spend years training in areas such as vocal performance, choreography, stage presence, and teamwork before releasing music professionally. Martin’s path is notable because he has also been associated with songwriting and production work. His eventual role as CORTIS leader placed him in a position that combines performance with responsibility for the group. The precise details of every stage of his training are not all available through official public biographies, so specific claims should be checked carefully.
8. When Did CORTIS Debut?
CORTIS debuted in August 2025, introducing Martin and the other members as part of BIGHIT MUSIC’s newer generation of performers. The group’s debut project, COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, presented a creative identity built around experimentation, self-expression, and participation in different aspects of production. The company’s album information describes the members as contributing to music and performance-related work rather than functioning only as interpreters of material created by others. That approach gives context to Martin’s public image as a young leader with creative interests. His age at debut was 17, and he turned 18 in March 2026. For fans asking how old Martin Cortis is now, the debut timeline helps explain how quickly his career has developed.
9. What Is Martin’s Role in CORTIS?
Martin is identified as the leader of CORTIS on the group’s official Weverse page. A leader in a K-pop group may help support communication, collaboration, and coordination among members, although responsibilities differ by group and company. Martin’s public role is also associated with his participation in music and creative activities. CORTIS has been presented as a group in which members contribute to different parts of the artistic process, including music, choreography, and visual direction. This collective approach is an important part of the group’s identity. Rather than assuming that every member has a rigid, exclusive position, it is more accurate to focus on the documented leadership role and the collaborative nature of the group’s releases.
10. Martin Cortis’ Music Production and Songwriting
One of the most interesting parts of Martin’s career is his association with songwriting and music production. Before CORTIS debuted, online music credits and artist profiles linked him to songs released by other acts connected to the broader HYBE music network. Such credits are significant because they suggest experience with the process of building a track, which can involve melody, arrangement, lyrics, and collaboration with other creators. Exact contributions vary from song to song, so a credit should not automatically be interpreted as meaning that one person created an entire track. Martin’s creative background helps explain why fans discuss him as more than a performer. His career combines onstage work with an interest in how music is made.
11. Martin’s Contributions to Other K-Pop Releases
Several music-profile sources associate Martin with production or songwriting credits connected to artists such as TXT, ILLIT, ENHYPEN, and LE SSERAFIM. These claims have contributed to his reputation as a young creator who gained experience before his own group’s debut. When discussing individual songs, however, it is important to consult official album credits because fan profiles may summarize contributions differently. Songwriting and production can involve several people, and the precise role of each contributor depends on the official credit listing. The broader point remains that Martin’s pre-debut experience has been an important part of his public story. It gives context to CORTIS’ emphasis on member participation and helps explain why fans are interested in his creative development.
12. Martin Cortis’ Age at Debut
Martin was 17 years old when CORTIS debuted in 2025 and turned 18 on March 20, 2026. His age at debut has become a point of interest because the K-pop industry requires young performers to manage rehearsals, recording sessions, choreography, promotion, and public appearances. These demands can make the transition from trainee to professional artist especially significant. At the same time, a young artist’s age should not be treated as proof of any particular level of maturity or ability. Martin’s work is better understood through his performances, creative credits, and role in the group. His timeline shows that he entered the public phase of his career during his teens and continues to develop as a performer and creator.
13. What Makes Martin Stand Out as a Young Artist?
Martin stands out in fan discussions because he is both a group leader and a young artist with a reported interest in music creation. CORTIS promotes a collaborative identity in which members take part in different areas of the creative process. That approach offers Martin opportunities to develop skills beyond stage performance, although the extent of each member’s contribution should be assessed through official credits and project information. His age adds context to the pace of his career, but it is not the only reason for public interest. Fans also follow his interactions with other members, his live performances, and the musical direction of the group. As CORTIS releases more material, those creative contributions will provide a clearer picture of his growth.
14. Martin Cortis’ Height and Physical Profile
Questions about Martin’s height often appear alongside searches for his age, birthday, and nationality. Some fan-maintained profile websites list him at approximately 193 centimetres, or around 6 feet 4 inches, while other online sources provide different measurements. Because a definitive official measurement is not consistently presented in the group’s main public profile, these figures should be treated as reported estimates rather than unquestionable facts. Height can be especially prone to inconsistencies in entertainment databases, where figures may be copied between websites without independent verification. For readers creating an accurate biography, it is sensible to prioritize confirmed information such as his birthday and group role. A precise height is less important than the documented details of his career.
15. Martin Cortis’ Zodiac Sign
Based on his listed birthday of March 20, Martin’s zodiac sign is generally given as Pisces in Western astrology. Pisces is commonly associated in popular astrology with imagination, sensitivity, and creativity, qualities that fans sometimes connect with artists and performers. These descriptions are cultural interpretations rather than scientific measures of personality, so they should be viewed as entertainment rather than evidence about Martin’s character. His creative work can be discussed more reliably through his musical credits, group activities, and performances. Still, zodiac signs remain a popular part of K-pop fan profiles because they offer an easy way to celebrate birthdays and compare basic biographical details among members. Martin’s March birthday is therefore a recurring topic in fan communities.
16. Martin’s Life Outside Music
Fans often want to know about an artist’s hobbies, family, education, and private routines in addition to professional achievements. In Martin’s case, some online profiles list personal details, but not every claim is supported by an official statement or a dependable interview. A responsible biography should avoid inventing information about his daily habits or presenting rumours as facts. Artists are entitled to maintain boundaries between their public work and private lives, particularly when they began their careers at a young age. What can be discussed confidently is Martin’s public identity as a member and leader of CORTIS and his participation in the group’s creative activities. As more verified interviews and official profiles become available, additional details may be easier to establish.
17. Martin Cortis and His Growing International Fanbase
CORTIS has attracted attention beyond South Korea, reflecting the international reach of contemporary K-pop. Digital music platforms, video-sharing services, social media, and fan communities allow audiences to discover new artists quickly and follow their activities across borders. Martin’s Korean-Canadian background and his role as leader have become common points of discussion in fan profiles. However, an artist’s popularity is best assessed through reliable indicators such as official releases, chart performance, concert announcements, and verified platform statistics rather than unsupported claims about follower counts. As CORTIS continues its career, Martin’s public profile may develop alongside the group’s music and performances. For fans, his age is an entry point into a wider interest in his artistic progress.
18. What Is Martin Cortis Doing in 2026?
As of October 2026, Martin is 18 years old and continues to be publicly identified as CORTIS’ leader. The group’s official channels and BIGHIT MUSIC releases are the most dependable places to check for current projects, music announcements, and performance-related updates. CORTIS released its second EP, GREENGREEN, in May 2026, with the company describing the project as a continuation of the group’s creative development and member participation. That release offers context for Martin’s ongoing work after the group’s debut. Fans should use official announcements for current information because release schedules and promotional activities can change. This is also a useful reminder that a biography should be updated over time rather than relying on outdated age figures.
19. Conclusion: How Old Is Martin Cortis Today?
